The Warrior without a Destiny

EDIT (5/17/2014): Changed the Name and Added a Little More Info on Him.

Just a Character I've had in my Head that I need to get out for a while.
He's a soul Calibur Fan Character.

While Playing Various Soul Calibur games, I came up with this Character on the spot, and wanted to see how it went from there. Not bad, a Little Cliche, But I like how his Design turned out.

Weapon: Longsword
Weapon Name: OathBlade.
Discipline: McNevin Family Swordplay.
Family:
Father, Duncan McNevin (Deceased)
Mother, Regina McNevin (Deceased)
Grandfather, Greer McNevin (Raised him after death of parents)
Grandmother, Lydia McNevin (Currently Ill)

17 Years Ago, The Gates of Astral Chaos Opened, a Child Gravely ill stood silent in his Crib, his mother killed by a servant of the Azure Knight. His Father took up arms and charged for the Tower of Remembrance, in hopes of saving his son. The Heat of Battle was too much for this warrior, and Confronting the Hero King only wounded him greatly. The Father then looked to his side to find a Shard of the Cursed Sword laying next to him in Defeat. As a Last Resort, The Father Used the shard of the Cursed Sword to save his son from death. His Wounds causing him a fatal end, the Grandfather and Grandmother were the only ones left to take care of the child. The Child soon let out a cry as his chest glowed with the dark energy of the cursed Sword. The Grandfather was concerned by this, but still held his Grand-son Tightly, Whispering the words to him..."Alestair, you shall be a Fine young Warrior when the Time Comes...". As the 17 years passed, The Cursed Sword Shard did not effect the child. He explored, trained, and did work upon the farm with his Grandparents. As he Grew older, his Grandfather started Training him in the Family's Style of Swordplay. Throwing a Longsword to him, they trained day and night, resting and working, all to make sure the Child was ready for the danger that lies ahead. After years of silence, the Child's Heart started to glow, kneeling in pain, Alestair knew not of why he started to feel the pain within his Chest, Until his Grandfather finally told him the truth of what happened to his parents, and why he lives today. Alestair was both shocked and furious by this news, but knew that there was nothing he could do to avoid it. His Grandfather finally knew it was Time. The very day his grandfather trained him for had come at last...The return of the Azure Knight and the Cursed Sword. Alestair, Now 20 years old, was ready to avenge his parents, and break the Curse that had haunted him for 17 years. His Grandfather Bestowed to him the Family Sword, the OathBlade, and a Necklace made from a Shard of soul Edge's opposite, the Spirit Sword Soul Calibur. And with that, Alestair gave his Grandparents a final Farewell and began his journey across the sea to the eastern lands to break the Curse of Soul Edge and Avenge his Parents. As he wanders the roads of the land, his Chest still glows with Soul Edge's dark energy. As he tries to resist the pain and get back to his feet, he knows he draws closer to the Cursed Sword with every passing day.


I imagine this Character Being a Balanced Character that anyone can play as. Not too Heavy, Not Too Light.
A character equal in stats, making him a character usable by all players, old and new.

and his Critical Edge would be various strikes of his sword. some Strikes with Soul Edge's Evil Glow, some strikes with Soul Calibur's pure Glow, and then finish it with a strike that combines both powers.

His Weapons as far as variety goes are various types of Longswords:

-Cutlass
-Murasame
-Arondight
-Baseball Bat
-Broken Destiny (Legendary Sword)
-The Master

I like the Idea of a Sword that isn't soul edge, but isn't soul calibur ether like Siegfried's Broken Destiny Sword in Soul Calibur Broken Destiny, So I Decided Alestair would Have Something Like it as well. Both Swords forged into one, the Broken Destiny.

His main outfit is just a simple Traveler's Clothing, Complete with a Hood and a couple of Pouches, This is Alestair's Primary Outfit.

His Second Costume is Based off the appearance of Scottish Templars, but Grey and Blue instead of White and Red. His Hair a Different shade, his hood Covering his Face in the shadows, And the OathBlade Given a More Knightly Design to it.

I Imagine him having Lucien Dodge as his English Voice Actor, Who Also did dust in Dust: An Elysian Tail, RavenFreak in TOME, Various Voices in Pokemon, and Li Dian in Dynasty Warriors 8.

Anyway, this is my Character for the Soul Series, Good Luck trying to make him in CaS if you feel like it!
